Meet the Cast: V (3rd June 2010)

I know this is kind of old news, but I didn't have a LiveJournal back then and I couldn't say no to the lovely lormats's request that I put up these pictures.

A few months ago, I was in Cambridge and I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that Elizabeth Mitchell, Morena Baccarin and Scott Wolf would be appearing at the Apple Store in London for a Meet the Cast event. Cambridge is less than an hour away from London on the train, so after much debating I booked myself a train ticket and headed on out there. I'm still so glad I went, because even though I got there early and had to wait around for ages, it was so worth it.

I'm sure all you Elizabeth Mitchell fans read all about the event when it actually happened, so I won't go into any great detail or anything, but I will just say a couple of things. The first one is that all three of them actually were very nice and very willing to answer the audience's questions, which I thought was really great to see (and by no means a given). The second thing is that the whole event just made me adore Elizabeth Mitchell even more. She was so down to earth and genuine in that way that you really wish she was a relative or your best friend so you could sit down and have a really nice conversation with her and get to know her better. One thing that has stuck in my mind is what happened at the end of the interview: Elizabeth was just getting up to leave when she tripped and fell back down into her chair again. She was laughing along with everybody else, and subsequently pointed to her gorgeous high heels and said "It's the shoes!" :) I don't know how anyone could possibly not like her.

These are the pictures I took at the event, scaled down in size a little so they're not huge. They're not great because we weren't allowed to use a flash so I had to delete a bunch that came out blurry, but I did get one good one and I hope you guys enjoy them anyway.

My Fall TV Premiere Calendar 2010

September is a great month and not just because it's my birthday, lol. These are the shows I'm planning to watch this autumn. Of course, I will be watching them on the internet about a day after their premieres, because I'm too impatient and a spoiler addict they are too awesome and I don't really want to wait until whenever they decide to show them here in the UK.

Wednesday, Sept. 8

Hellcats

Thursday, Sept. 9
Nikita

Monday, Sept. 13
Gossip Girl

Monday, Sept. 20

How I Met Your Mother
House
Castle

Tuesday, Sept. 21
Glee

Wednesday, Sept. 22

Thursday, Sept. 23

The Big Bang Theory
30 Rock

Sunday, Sept. 26
Brothers & Sisters (big maybe on this one)

Tuesday, Sept. 28

Friday Night Lights

So it all starts tomorrow! I hope Hellcats will be good. I have a feeling it will either be great or really terrible.

And this reminds me - do any of you guys know of any good websites to watch stuff on that work outside of the US? I know about Channel 131 but I want to have some options just in case. And I'd also like to avoid Megavideo because at university it somehow works out that the time on Megavideo is shared between all of us so you can never watch anything on there.

Friends!

Hello friends, both old and new! :) Thanks so much to you guys for adding me. I know this LJ is a bit barren at the moment apart from my Brothers and Sisters fanfiction, but I'd really like to start using it more and embellishing it a bit.

I wanted to ask you all for a little bit of advice. At the moment, I have a free LJ account and I was wondering if those of you who have a paid account think it's worth it. Also, do you know how to put up a top banner, etc? Do you need a paid account for that? I'd really love to make my LJ prettier. Thanks for any help - LJ newbie alert!

I'm pretty tired right now. I stayed up watching the Emmys on a live stream (for some reason nobody broadcast them here in the UK) and I didn't even watch all of them but was still up until like 3 AM. I was pleased with Jim Parsons winning Best Actor in a Comedy but apart from that nearly all the winners were from shows I don't watch. I was really rooting for Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler from Friday Night Lights but they didn't get any love, and worst of all IMO was Lost not winning Outstanding Drama Series. I think it really deserved to win but what can you do?

The Road to Sacramento - Part VIII

Characters: Kitty and Robert.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Robert and Kitty McCallister take on their next challenge after Robert fails to win the Republican nomination for president.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters. In the words of Sara Bareilles, I do it for love.
A/N:
There was quite a lot I wanted to include in this part so the result is a nice long chapter today for you guys to sink your teeth into. Hope you enjoy it! Comments are always very much appreciated. Oh, and one more thing - do you guys think the rating for this fanfic is OK as it is? I was just wondering and I'd be grateful for your opinions.

The Road to Sacramento - Part VII

Characters: Kitty and Robert, Justin.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Robert and Kitty McCallister take on their next challenge after Robert fails to win the Republican nomination for president.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters. The folks who do are very lucky.
A/N:
I really enjoyed writing this chapter so I think I'll just let you guys read it and say I hope that you like it too. Oh, just one thing - Rebecca gets mentioned in this chapter, so I just wanted to let you all know that she wasn't de-Walkered at the point where my fic began and I'm not planning on de-Walkering her. I know lots of people like Justin/Rebecca, but I always felt she fit in better as a sibling and I never really liked the Ryan storyline. As always, comments are much appreciated.
